My Sister-in-Law Turns 40 Today
I can’t believe that my husband and I have known each other for 17 years. In a lot of respects, we still feel like we are in our 20s. But our 20s are long gone and seem like such a blur. Now, my sister-in-law is 40, and we’re not too far behind.
We went over to her house to celebrate with cake and ice cream. That’s exactly how I’d like to celebrate my 40th (which is this coming summer), with my family and no one else.

With me, my partner and I went out on our own. It was wonderful!

Her husband took her out to a nice dinner before we came over. In his words, “You turn 40 only once.”

But isn’t it true that you only have every birthday only once?

Yes, but the landmark birthdays (30,40,50, etc.) are special).
