Chapter 14, Scene 1: Finished
Amanda is free of the ghost’s clutches for now but she is still very upset by the physical attack and resists Travis’s questioning. I wrestled with this, having her cooperate or fall back on old patterns. She fell back on old patterns because, in reality, people are very slow to change. Or, they don’t change at all.
A victim of domestic violence, she has some pretty hefty issues regarding men. It doesn’t help that her ghostly attacker is a male, or the fact that Travis went behind her back and called her estranged father to ask about her psychic ability. The reader will find out about that conversation in the next scene.

Good luck with the work on your book. It sounds like you are making progress!
How many chapters will your novel be when it is completed?

Slowly, but surely.
I’m not sure how many chapters this novel is going to have. At the moment, I’m thinking somewhere around twenty.

Yay Amanda! Finally free of the ghost’s clutches.
And yeah, probably a good call on not changing her too fast.
Sounds like you’re enjoying yourself, and that’s what counts!

I think the blog updates are going to generate sales for you already, I’m dying to read the book.

I am, Melly, although I’m wanting to finish this so I can start on other projects.
Lee, my current page count is 270, double-spaced. I imagine that this manuscript will be over 500 pages when I’m finished with the draft.
Thank you, Ben.
I look forward to reading your review.

It’s an electronic version of an ISBN number. I’ll explain more in my next post.

[…] I tested it out on Chapter 14, Scene 1: Finished, and it works well enough. But I’ve come to the conclusion that it will be a pain to provide numbers for each and every post. […]
