2000+ Words Today!
I pushed myself today because I’m having company tomorrow. My goal is to write another 2,000 words by this weekend.
My husband has absolutely forbidden me to do anything writing or computer-related when we go on our trip. But I’m going to sneak a notebook with me so I can jot down the descriptions of the desert and the culture of the people. I can’t go without writing for longer than a day, so he will just have to deal.
Once I return, I’m going to turn the majority of my focus back to my book projects. Blogging has turned into an obsession as great as writing books and novels. I need to calm this down some if I’m going to get anything done (and hopefully published) this year.
I’ll still try to post everyday. But if you don’t hear from me for several days at a time, it’s because I’m cranking out pages (or beating my head against the keyboard until I pass out).
One of the things on my project list is compiling that directory of writer’s blogs. You can expect to see that on Lulu some time in the Fall. Yes, it will be free.
As for the writer’s resource directory on WBA, I’ve decided to postpone that until Christmas. I’ve got too many pots on the stove at the moment.

Hey Deb-
I totally agree with you on the writing thing. I find when I don’t write, little Mikey gets vewwy, vewwy, cwwanky.
Assimov said it best: “I write for the same reason I breathe - because if I didn’t, I would die.”
I’m also with you on the blogging thing. It does become an obsession. (hence, my BCD post)
I have a feeling if your husband finds the notebook, he’ll just smile and say, “go on, write.”
Where are you going? Just curious.

Congrats on your writing achievement! It’s such a great feeling to pound out that many words. Maybe you can sneak some writing in on your vacation when your husband is zzzzzzzz, lol.
Have a great trip.

Michael: I’m going to Arizona. After the buckets of rain we’ve been getting, I’m looking forward to some serious sunshine.
Fred: Thanks.
Yes, I’ll get some writing in when he’s sleeping and when it’s his turn to drive.

2000! That’s awesome!
It’s so exciting you’re going away and it’s a good time to clear your head exactly when you decided what to do and when etc.
But just have lots of fun when you’re going

This trip was good for me in several ways, Melly.
