Tunneling Through Space and Time
I found this article while looking for something to post on Supernatural this morning. While the scientific aspect of time travel is beyond me, I found myself drawn in by the author’s discussion about the paranormal aspects of time travel.
Quoted from Visionary Articles from Rosemary Ellen Guiley
Tunneling may also account for some ghost experiences. Some ghosts may be remnants or recordings impressed in psychic space, but others may involve living people. Perhaps someone in another place in time doesn’t come through entirely, and so we see an apparition instead of something solid.
That last sentence made me sit up straighter in my chair. Living ghosts? Now, that’s an idea for a story I’ll have to explore.
This article reminded me of the discussion that occurred several months ago about time travel, although I’m not sure if it occurred on Karen’s, Melly’s, or Lee’s. I remember Lee pointing out that if we traveled back through time, we may wind up erasing our present and future.
What this lady talks about is time travel via our higher consciousness. It was a very good article, but I’m still rather skeptical of the whole time travel thing. It has, and still does, make for great time travel and alternative history stories.

Time travel is a fickle thing.
If it were possible, I’d go back and kick my ass–several times. But if I did that, the future is changed and then I probably wouldn’t want to go back, so I would never have gone back…etc.
I have heard about an alternate reality being a ghost vision and I think this is what she was talking about.

Yeah, I’d like to change a lot of things in my past. But if I did, I might never have met my husband.
The alternative reality concept is interesting.

It is an interesting concept. I look forward to hearing about the plans for the new book (hint, hint).

Maybe next year, once I get Prosperity published.

I’ve explored time travel on my blog as well, with the conclusion that if time travel is possible, so are alternate realities. If we go back in time to visit ourselves, which we don’t remember happening, then an alternate reality is created where the ’self’ that we visited continues on through life remembering the visit from his/her future self. But we still don’t remember it, because our time travel has created another reality.
This is why I don’t believe we’ll ever see evidence of time travel in our own reality, as any change to historical events will only create a different reality where that change is part of the timeline. But we’d never know about it in our own timeline.
I love the topic.
