The Eternal Quest for Immortality – Is It Staring You in the Face?, by John Evans

This week got off to a great start when I received an email from John Evans of Syntagma Media. He had approached me a couple of years ago about designing his book, Cosmosity. That project never got off the ground for reasons you can read about here, but he started writing another book, entitled The Eternal Quest for Immortality – Is It Staring You in the Face?. The book is due for publication in November, and he asked me to design it for him. Needless to say, I am honored. I’ve enjoyed working with John in the past and look forward to working with him again.

What’s particularly exciting about this project is that I get to test out Lightning Source and see how it compares to Lulu. I’ve heard good reviews from other authors who have used the service, but the cost of setting up an account is prohibitive to many authors. At any rate, I look forward to giving this site a test drive soon. I’ll post a full comparison review of the two services once the book is published.

In the meantime, I’ve had a great time designing the cover. The cover art was created by artist, Sven Geier, who makes fantastic fractal designs. My job involved laying everything out so that it communicates the book’s subject well enough to hook prospective readers. I’ll keep you posted on my progress.
