Chris Michael Kirby

Quoted from The New York Times

The son of a Bronx firefighter, Chris grew up helping strangers.

Chris Michael Kirby wanted to be a firefighter, just like his father, and was training to be one when he was killed during the 9-11 Terrorist Attack. He was 21 years old, his life cut short before it had a chance to begin.

Oh, no. This tragedy is forever emblazoned on my mind. Unless I develop Alzheimers, I will never forget.

I’m glad to see people still participating in this project. I hope we never forget what a tragedy that day was. Bless you and your family – may you always live in peace.
